Singer-songwriter Pia Wilson Debuts New Song at CB's 313 Gallery

Local NYC singer-songwriter Pia Wilson lures fans to CB's 313 Gallery with promise of new song "Icarus Falling."

June 10, 2004 -- Singer and songwriter Pia Wilson is luring her dedicated fans to her June 14th appearance at CB's 313 Gallery by promising them the performace of a new song from her forthcoming EP. "Icarus Falling" is one of six new songs Ms. Wilson is preparing for her debut EP.

With a smart, earthy sound combining jazz, pop and folk sensibilities and writing songs of searching and longing, of love and loss Ms. Wilson has garnered fans of all types. Her music reflects a diversity of experience in life and in music. She will be playing CB's 313 Gallery (313 Bowery, at Bleecker Street) on Monday, June 14, at 8:30 pm.

"People always like a slow tease better in the end, and that's why I'm rolling out my songs one by one," said Ms. Wilson. "The final song of the EP, Breakdown Baby, will also be its title. I'll be singing that one at the CD release party."

For now, fans can listen to her four previous singles releases on her website at www.piawilson.com.

Far cleaner and mellower than its famous next door brother CBGB, 313 is a bar, gallery and performance space populated by an audience that is not up for the rowdier scene next door. Performances vary from the avant-garde to the low-key and include musicians, poets and performance artists.
